Our Veterinarians

Dr. Greg Borlik was one of those people who always knew what he wanted in life to do in life.  Now he gets to do what he loves…meet new people and help them with their pets.  He has always felt a connection with animals–like they brought out the best in him and he brought out the best in them.   The pet parents he meets make each day special because they become so much more than clients, they become friends.

Dr. Greg grew up on the north side of Indianapolis, where he competitively ran cross country and track for North Central High School. Indiana University in Bloomington was his home for four years where he joined the Sigma Chi Fraternity and cheered on the Hoosiers. It is there that Dr. Greg obtained degrees in biology, chemistry, and business before moving on to attend veterinary school. He received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2007 from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine. Over the years, Dr. Greg has worked at several veterinary practices and emergency vet hospitals in the greater Indianapolis area, before founding Cottage Animal Clinic of Carmel.

Dr. Greg’s medical special interests include:  surgery, clinical pathology, diagnostic imaging, dermatology, and dentistry, but his favorite thing of all is meeting new people and educating pet owners like yourself.  He truly believes that educating you will make sure that you are able to make the best decisions for your pets to keep them healthy and very happy!

Greg lives with his beautiful wife Amy who is a nurse at Peyton Manning’s St. Vincent Children’s Hospital  The rest of his family includes his adorable daughter Anna, his wonderful son Hudson, and his three dogs, Cubby the Boston Terrier, Vincent the Bichon Frise, and Penny the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.  Besides helping people with their pets, he thoroughly enjoys activities such as walking his dogs on the Monon, running, hiking & camping, watching movies, biking, gardening, cooking & grilling, attempting to play golf, and cheering on the Colts.  However, most of his free time away from the hospital is spent trying to keep up with his energetic children.

“If you have any questions or concerns with any of your beloved pets, give me a call and I would be happy to help.  Call or stop by anytime.  I look forward to meeting you.”   –Dr. Greg
